Ian Blease

General Manager

Ian joined the club way back in 2002 following the demise of Preston Baseball Club. He served as a reliable deputy to former Head Coach, Rob Alger before replacing him following his retirement in 2015.

He held the role of First Team Manager from 2015 - 2018 before moving into the GM role in 2019.

Darren Meintjes

Trojans Navy Management

A South African National, Darren moved here following his wedding in the late 2010s. Now residing in Liverpool, Darren splits his time between the Trojans and the Great Britain Fastpitch Softball League.

Darren brings a solid understanding of the game and calm authority over his players.

Scott Gray

Trojans Army Management

Scott was a founder-member of the club’s second team, the Twojans, in 2014. Since then he has been a constant presence at the club, often taking the lead coach role at mid-week training sessions.

He served as the Twojans’ players’ rep between from 2018, before replacing outgoing manager, Jeff Ocenasek, part-way through the 2019 season.

Chris Gary

Trojans Navy Management

Chris is long-serving member of the club, having been born into the family tradition of baseball.

Following a long and successful career as a player, Chris turned his management in 2021 - guiding the Halton Trojans to the playoffs in both seasons.

Having cut his teeth at the managerial level in single A, Chris is excited to turn his hand to AAA this year.

David Martin Baez

Youth/Softball/Army Management

David has enjoyed two stints with the club. The first in the mid-90’s as he completed his studies at university. He would then return home to Milton Keynes for a few years before returning to Liverpool and rejoining the club in 2007.

He served as Club Secretary from 2008 - 2014 before becoming the General Manager in 2015. In 2019, he took over as the First Team Manager winning a championship in his only full season in charge.

In 2021, Dave will be focussing on the development of a Youth Baseball Program to ensure the future of Trojans legacy on Merseyside.

Matt Robinson

Treasurer

Matt joined the club in 2020, but wasted no time in putting his name forward for the role of Treasurer when it became available.

In his professional life, Matt is an Accountant, and he also serves in a similar role for the Wirral Vikings Flag American Football Team.

John Baxendale

Officials Coordinator

John joined the club as a player in 2019, having previously played with Brighton Buccaneers and Bolton/Halton Robots of Doom.

After the COVID-affected 2020 season, and the latest in a long line of knee injuries, J-Bax decided the time was right to step down from playing. Instead, he will be focussing on umpiring where he hopes to gain CEB accreditation in order to represent Great Britain internationally.

Jack Jones

Halton Trojans Management

Jack joined the club in 2021, quickly ascending to a managerial in 2022 when the club launched its fourth team, the Halton Twojans.

Following a reshuffle in 2023, Jack will run the third team, the Halton Trojans, this year. He will be assisted by Terry Brennand.

Terry Brennand

Halton Trojans Management

Terry joined the club in 2021, and ably assisted Jack Jones with the running of the Halton Twojans throughout the 2022 season.

Following a reshuffle in 2023, Terry will help to run the third team, the Halton Trojans, this year.
